Ozzie Warwick, the Chief Education and Research Officer of the Oilfields Workers’ Trade Union of Trinidad and Tobago, recalls the workers’ struggle of securing the nation’s oil and resources for the country’s people, and away from the hands of private interests. He talks about the challenges ahead, and how the struggle is an example of “the working class challenge the status quo by protect[ing] national assets from the hands of the elite few.”
