The 2020 Nobel Prize in Physics was awarded to three researchers – Roger Penrose, Reinhard Genzel, and Andrea Ghez. Their research has proved the existence of black holes, and the existence of a supermassive black hole at the centre of the Milky Way. Their research is based on the earlier work of Albert Einstein. Newsclick’s Prabir Purkayastha sheds some light on the dark matter.
