Philippines president Rodrigo Duterte received widespread condemnation for passing the controversial Anti-Terrorism Act of 2020, which he signed unto law on July 3. Protests against the law were registered at the University of Philippines Diliman in Manila on Saturday. These were organized by the youth faction of the Gabriela Women’s Party (GWP), an affiliate of the left-wing Makabayan bloc.
