On the International Day of the Disappeared (August 30), the Garifunas of Honduras continued to demand the safe return of the five abducted members of their community. The whereabouts of these five are unknown for over six weeks now. The Fraternal Black Organization of Honduras (OFRANEH) believes that the Honduran state is involved in the crime.
