Thousands of protesters hit the streets of Chile demanding the release of protesters who were arrested in connection with the anti-government demonstrations in October 2019. The protesters were met with heavy police crackdown and several were arrested. Protesters have continued to raise the demand for resignation of President Sebastián Piñera.
