On July 20, 1925, revolutionary political philosopher: Frantz Fanon was born in the French Colony of Martinique. Fanon was a Pan-Africanist, and a Marxist humanist who has dealt with the psychopathology of colonization, and the human, social, and cultural consequences of decolonization. Fanon supported the Algerian War of Independence from France and his works have inspired national liberation movements and other radical political organizations in Palestine, Sri Lanka, South Africa, and the United States.
