On January 30, 2019, 49-year-old Felix Randy Malayao, a publicly known peace consultant of the National Democratic Front of the Philippines (NDFP) was murdered while he was asleep inside a bus in Aritao, Nueva Vizcaya, Philippines . The assassination led to massive protests in Philippines against the witch-hunting of communist and peace activists by right wing Rodrigo Duterte regime.
