Every year, on this day, May 1, communist parties, trade unions and all sections of the working class across the world come together to celebrate this day of struggle and honor all those who have given their lives for the betterment of the working class and its conditions. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year the celebrations will be a little different. While traditional mass mobilizations will not be possible for public health reasons, the urgency of fighting for workers’ lives and dignity is more central than ever.
