Indian women protest injustice in sexual harassment case against Chief Justice

Women all across India have been protesting against the Supreme Court’s decision to declare the Chief Justice, Ranjan Gogoi, innocent in a case of sexual harassment without a fair and thorough investigation.

The in-house committee investigating the complaint carried out their investigation without the victim as she walked out of the proceedings on the third day, saying the process was biased and deprived her of her rights. There have been widespread crackdowns by the police on the ongoing protests, with hundreds of protestors being detained.
