May 25, 2021 marks one year since the brutal murder of George Floyd in the city of Minneapolis, which sparked a massive movement demanding justice and structural change. In the past year, there have been a few advances made due to the sheer persistence and determination of people’s movements even as the political establishment has tried its best to maintain status quo.
