Activists demand to stop the Line 3 pipeline project

The pipeline is expected to take away rights of indigenous people to hunt, fish and gather along the proposed routes and native American communities have been at the forefront of the protests demanding to stop the construction of the pipeline.

Native American and environmental activists protested at the National American Indian Museum in Washington DC on August 21. The protest is part of a struggle to demand that Enbridge Energy’s Line 3 oil pipeline project be stopped. Yesterday August 23, they also went to the Army Corps of Engineers to raise their demands.
