Thousands hit the streets of Italy in defense of labor rights

The working class across Italy has been devastated by the crisis inflicted by the COVID-19 pandemic and the austerity driven policies of neo-liberal governments.

On October 11, Monday, thousands mobilized across Italy to denounce the assault on labor rights and against austerity measures imposed by the government of Mario Draghi. The protests also condemned the far-right attack on the headquarters of the trade union Italian General Confederation of Labour (CGIL) in Rome.
