New French security bill could make it harder to hold police accountable

On November 17, protests took place across France to oppose the recently introduced Global Security bill. This bill criminalizes filming on-duty police officers if they are identifiable and if harm is intended. French interior minister has claimed that this bill is necessary to to “protect those who protect us.”

But what when these “protectors” are busy harming the citizens?
