Colombia: Teachers’ national strike against rising violence and in defense of life

In Colombia, educators across the country went on a two-day strike from February 20 protesting against the rising violence and in defense of the right to life. The strike called for an end to the killing of teachers and all social leaders. The teachers also demanded an increase in education funding and improved benefits for educators.
