Walden Bello, from Focus on the Global South, shows how the COVID-19 crisis exposed the fragility of the present corporate and free trade driven food supply system. Bello then argues that the pandemic could also present an opportunity to strategically transform the global food production system, in line with principles of food sovereignty.
