Tens of thousands of workers marched through various cities of Greece demanding the rollback of a new labor law passed on June 16. Trade unions have pointed out that the new labor law passed by the conservative New Democracy (ND) government will be detrimental to workers’ rights in the country.

The law was passed with 158 votes in support in the 300-seat parliament even while it garnered heavy criticism from the opposition on June 16.
