Thousands of people convened by the Union of Young Communists (UJC) hit the streets of Cuban capital Havana on August 5 in support of the Cuban Revolution, the Communist Party and the government.

The demonstrations also celebrated the victory of the people and the government which defeated attempts to subvert the social order in the country in 1994.
