More than three-hundred thousand people mobilized across Brazil on September 7, Brazilian Independence Day to draw attention to the vast majorities of Brazilian people excluded and marginalized by the current political system. The mobilizations were part of the “Grito dos Excluidos” or Cry of the Excluded protests and also demanded the ousting of president Jair Bolsonaro.

The ‘Cry of the Excluded’ also mobilized people in defense of national sovereignty and against the favoring of the interests of the ruling class, companies and banks over the well-being of the people.
