At least 3.6 million tenants across the US are currently at risk of eviction because of overdue rent payments and the looming expiration of eviction moratoriums. In response to this situation which threatens to put millions out on the streets, the campaign which began a the start of the pandemic, “Cancel the Rents” issued a national call for protests from September 24-26.
People across the United States demand cancellation of rent
In cities and towns across the US people mobilized to demand the cancellation of rents and called on Congress to wipe out all rent and mortgage debt accumulated during the pandemic.
