Jordan’s National Forum to Support Resistance and Protect the Homeland, organized a protest on Tuesday, July 23, under the title “with Gaza’s support fronts until liberation and victory”. The protest took place near the United States Embassy in the Jordanian capital Amman, where heavy presence of Jordanian security forces was witnessed.

Hundreds of Jordanian activists participated in the protests to demonstrate their outrage against the US administration’s unlimited financial, and military support to the Israeli entity in its genocidal aggression on Gaza. In addition, the protesters condemned the latest attacks launched against Yemen by the US and the UK last Thursday.

During the protest, Jordanians expressed their solidarity with the regional support fronts, which have been fighting Israel since it began its genocidal war against the people in Gaza last October. These support fronts include Hezbollah-led Lebanese support front, Ansar Allah-led Yemeni support front, and the Iraqi support front led by the Islamic Resistance in Iraq.

The protesters chanted slogans denouncing the US complicity in killing people in the Arab region and its role in dividing Arab countries. The chants “the US is the biggest devil”, and “the US is the head of the snake”, rang out during the protest. Jordanians also blamed their government and some Arab countries for their silence towards the war crimes committed by Israel, the US, and its allies against the people of Palestine, Lebanon, and Yemen.

Jordanians also chanted slogans praising Palestinian resistance brigades including Hamas’s Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, and the Islamic Jihad’s Saray al-Quds Brigades. They also hailed top Hamas leaders including Hamas’s Gaza chief Yahya al-Sinwar, and the commander of Al-Qassam Brigades, Mohammad al-Deif.

Amman’s protest against the US administration took place, amid the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s visit to Washington DC, where he intends to deliver a speech at the US Congress on Wednesday, July 24. Netanyahu’s visit has been met with several protests, including a sit-in at the US Congress building on Tuesday, staged by anti-Gaza war protesters. A massive demonstration outside the US Congress is planned for Wednesday when he is set to speak.
