Kashmir’s communist leader Yousuf Tarigami speaks on the military siege

Tarigami, who was put under house arrest after the abrogation of Article 370, was allowed to travel to New Delhi for health reasons by the Supreme Court of India.

“We have seen the difficult times, but these are the worst” said Yousuf Tarigami, former member of the state legislature (MLA) from Communist Party of India (Marxist) on the ongoing crackdown in Kashmir. He noted that people are immensely suffering due to communication blockade and the military siege imposed by the far-right Indian government. Tarigami, who was put under house arrest after the abrogation of Article 370, was allowed to travel to New Delhi for health reasons by the Supreme Court of India.
