Hundreds of workers employed at the Asha jute mill in Debidwar, Bangladesh, congregated at the Dhaka-Chattogram highway to demand the release of their pending wages. Workers also burnt tyres and raised slogans against the administration
Bangladesh jute mill workers go on strike to demand unpaid wages
The workers have not been paid for 6 to 13 weeks, and have been demonstrating in different parts of Bangladesh’s industrial belt. The strike entered its fifth day on May 18.
