38 people are still being held in prison for participating in the protests in the Rif region against economic neglect, unemployment and state oppression

The “March of the Moroccan people” was organized by political and civil rights groups to demand the release of those who led and participated in the Hirak Rif protests of 2016. As many as 53 leaders and protesters were sentenced to jail for a total time of 300 years
