The report comes at a time when the Myanmar government’s attempts to repatriate 1,000 Rohingya families from Bangladesh failed due to widespread mistrust among the refugees.

The repeated arbitrary arrests, summary executions, forced labor, ill-treatment and sexual violence committed by the Myanmar army and militias led to the exodus of 700,000 Rohingyas in late August 2017.

The fact-finding mission found that the crimes include mass killings and rapes with a genocidal intent
