1 year of Bhima Koregaon arrests: India’s repressive state unmasked

One year has passed since 5 activists and human rights defenders were arrested in India on trumped up charges in what was largely seen as a crackdown on dissent

June 6th marks the first anniversary of the arrests of five activists accused of participation in the violence that took place in the 2018 Bhima Koregaon celebration. Their comrades, family members and the members of various people’s movements in India continue to stand behind these activists in their fight against the state conspiracy.
