Over the past few days, India has been witnessing scenes of hundreds of thousands of migrant workers walking on roads and interstate highways trying to make their way to their villages amid the COVID-19 lockdown. The three week lockdown imposed by the far-right Narendra Modi government has left these workers stranded in cities without jobs and on the verge of starvation.
