In today’s episode of the Daily Round-up we take a look at the nationwide ‘Black Day’ of resistance observed in India as the ongoing farmers’ struggle completes 6 months, the crackdown on a protest against the killing of activists in Iraq, the success of a 22 month long struggle for better working conditions and pay by workers at the Ibis des Batignolles hotel in France, the ongoing crackdown on Papuan communities in Indonesia as they demand the release of political prisoners, and volunteer initiatives to feed poor and unhoused people in Brazil in the absence of adequate government aid policies during the pandemic.
