The VI Summit of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) held in Mexico City on Saturday, September 18 concluded with the approval of a 44-point declaration. The declaration called for an end to all unilateral coercive measures like the ones suffered by Cuba and Venezuela.

The summit was met with widespread enthusiasm for being able to bring together diverse political actors across the region and uniting them on diverse issues.
