“What the enemy could not obtain through war, it won’t obtain by threats and ploys”: Abu Obaida warns

Abu Obaida reiterated the readiness of the Palestinian resistance to fight Israel in future confrontation, despite Hamas’s continued commitment to the ceasefire deal.

Abu Obaida, the spokesperson of Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas appeared in a televised speech on Thursday, March 6, to reaffirm Al-Qassam’s commitment to the ceasefire and captives-for-prisoners deal, while emphasizing its readiness to fight back Israel if the war resumes.

Abu Obaida began his speech congratulating Muslims on the holy month of Ramadan, reminding them that it has always been a “month of victories, jihad, bestowal and bounties”.

Reproach of the Islamic nation for its inaction

The speech marked a great reproach of the Islamic nation, whose population is estimated at two billion, for their inaction towards the two million Palestinian people in Gaza, who have endured the scourge of the Israeli genocidal aggression for about one year and a half.

“We are saying to the two billion Muslims around the world, your people and brethren in religion in Palestine have purified their fast by offering a torrent of pure blood in the sake of Allah the almighty, and for the sake of Al-Aqsa mosque, that has been desecrated by the sworn enemies of Allah,” Abu Obaida stated.

“The Islamic nation will not rise up and will not have any status among nations until this holy land is cleansed of the filth of the occupiers,” he stressed.

“We would like to remind the two-billion population nation, that our Arab Muslim people, who have been uprising for over 70 years to defend the dignity of the nation from the criminal Zionists, have been exposed to genocide, starvation, and attempted displacement and liquidation before your eyes,” Abu Obaida stated, criticizing the inaction of Muslims.

“What are you going to do to defend your dignity before the hand of the oppressors reaches you in your own home?” Abu Obaida asked.

The Palestinian resistance vows commitment to the ceasefire deal despite Israel’s non-commitment

“At the end of the first phase of the ceasefire deal, we confirm that the Palestinian resistance was committed in front of the whole world and mediators since January 19, to the terms of the ceasefire and captives-for-prisoners swap deal in Gaza,” Al-Qassam’s spokesperson said.

Abu Obaida emphasized that the brigades abided by all terms of the deal including the time frame of the captives’ exchange, the agreed upon numbers of captives and their handover in “a safe, convenient and highly organized manner.”

“Despite the well-known equivocation, trickery and falsehood attempts by the enemy, we preferred to abide by the deal, and we will continue in our commitment to it to avert the bloodshed of our people, and because we want to invalidate the pretexts that our enemy have strenuously been trying to invent, and as a matter of respect to the pledges to our brethren mediators,” Abu Obaida affirmed.

Al-Qassam’s spokesperson pointed out that “on the contrary, the enemy has reneged on many of its commitments, which form basic rights for our people including, relief, sheltering, the freedom of movement and the flow of humanitarian aid and goods.”

Abu Obaida accused Israel of practicing “bullying, procrastination and rioting” against Palestinians. “The criminal and sadistic mindset nests in the mind of the occupier, whether in Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, or throughout the entire region,” he said.

Abu Obaida explained that the Israeli leadership “is still evading the implementation of the agreement’s phases, which form an integral part of the deal, in a bid by the head of the enemy’s government and his terrorist ministers to prioritize their partisan and political interests over the lives of their captives on the one hand, while on the other hand they seek to secure a cover by the US to practice all types of aggression against our people and their rights.”

The spokesperson of Al-Qassam compared the situation of Palestinian prisoners, who have been subjected to torture in Israeli jails, to the good health condition of Israeli captives held in the Gaza strip despite the difficulty of saving their lives amidst the “barbaric war” launched by Israel against Gaza.

“Ironically, the one-eyed western regimes do not see this difference. They lament some dozens of the [Israeli] enemy’s captives, while they do not care about the lives and safety of thousands of our prisoners, who have been oppressed in the [Israeli] occupation’s prisons and ‘slaughterhouses’ for decades,” Abu Obaida added.

“No wonder that ‘the Guantanamo administration’ is turning a blind eye on these atrocities,” Abu Obaida said, referring to the United States.

Israel’s plot to subjugate the resistance is bound to fail, says Abu Obaida

In spite of Israel’s attempts to sabotage the deal through deceitful ways, Hamas’s military spokesperson reassured the public that it will not succeed in breaking the will of the Palestinian resistance.

“What the enemy could not achieve through aggression and war, it will not achieve through threats and deceit,” Abu Obaida stressed, adding that “the shortest way to maintain stability in the region is to curb this enemy and oblige it to abide by the signed agreement.”

Abu Obaida reiterated that Israel’s threats to resume war, impose siege and inflict starvation on the Palestinian people, which constitute filthy war crimes and stigma for the international community, will result in the defeat of Israel.

“Such threats will not lead to the release of the enemy’s captives, but instead, the captives will be subjected to the same suffering inflicted on our people,” Abu Obaida said.

Addressing the families of Israeli captives, Abu Obaida said: “any escalation of the aggression on our people, will most probably lead to killing the [Israeli] enemy’s captives as it happened before in many cases.”

The Palestinian resistance is ready for a war with Israel

Abu Obaida described Israel’s threats to resume the war on Gaza as “a sign of weakness”, confirming that “the resistance holds the means to inflict pain and huge losses on the enemy in any future confrontation.”

“The threats to resume the war and fighting, will push us to prepare ourselves for breaking what remained from the alleged prestige of the enemy’s army”, Abu Obaida emphasized.

“What we have achieved in the Al-Aqsa Flood battle until the last moments of combat, proves that,” Abu Obaida added.

As Yemen’s Ansar Allah threatened to attack Israel in case of resuming its aggression on Gaza a few days earlier, Abu Obaida extended greetings to them “for their stance in declaring their continued readiness to support and strike the enemy.”
