The national school teachers’ union in Chile stressed that only vaccinating teachers is not enough for a safe return to school, while government authorities have alleged the teachers have been on vacation and don’t want to work

The demonstrations took place despite massive deployment of the Chilean police. Sunday’s demonstrations were organized just a few days ahead of the upcoming constitutional referendum.
