New Afghan govt Taliban’s new government draws heavy criticism for lack of representation, record of ministers

Contrary to the Taliban’s assurances of giving representation to all sections of Afghan society, the 33-member new government has minimal representation from ethnic minorities and no woman ministers

At a discussion organized by Tricontinental: Institute of Social Research, panelists pointed out that peace in Afghanistan can only be guaranteed through regional reconciliation led by regional players, independent of interference from the West
