April 19: Hundreds injured in the Israeli violence on Great Return March protesters in Gaza

The protesters are demanding the right to return to their homeland from which they were expelled by Israeli militias in 1948.

On April 19, as many as 100 Palestinians were wounded by Israeli forces during the Great March of Return Protests along the eastern Gaza strip. Around 6,500 Palestinians took part in Friday’s Great march of return protests. Israeli forces hurled tear gas canisters and fired bullets at the unarmed protestors. For the past one year, the protesters have assembled on every Friday along the fence separating Gaza and Israel. The protesters are demanding the right to return to their homeland from which they were expelled by Israeli militias in 1948.
