The United States government under Donald Trump is continuing to increase pressure on Venezuela even during the COVID-19 pandemic. We take a look at the recent US actions, from accusing Venezuelan president Nicolas Maduro of “narcoterrorism,” to proposing a “transitional plan” for the Venezuelan government, to sending US Navy ships to the Caribbean sea, all of which are meant to destabilise a government which is trying to serve the country during this pandemic.
