Ecuadorian president Lenín Moreno has attempted to push through a series of neoliberal economic reforms which would see mass layoffs, salary reductions and closing of public companies. Trade unions and social movements have vowed to resist these reforms and revive the mass resistance seen in the country in October also in response to unpopular neoliberal reforms.
