Colombians march in defense of life and dignity

Colombian movements marched for days to reignite hope and continue putting pressure on the government to take action to protect the people of the country amid the an onslaught of violence and the public health crisis

A broad coalition of social organizations from across Colombia organized the Dignity March in defense of life, land and rights. The Comunera Route, which left from Barrancabermeja and the Libertadora Route which left from Saravena arrived in Bogotá on July 19 after walking hundreds of kilometers by foot and visiting municipalities on the way.

The Dignity March seeks to raise awareness and manifest indignation to the current crisis that is worsening everyday in Colombia with the persistence of violence and the mismanagement of the COVID-19 pandemic.
