According to a report by Airfinity, G7 countries will have 1.2 billion vaccines available for donation by the end of 2021 even after maintaining booster shot campaigns for all adults. 10% of these doses will expire by the end of the year. Many Lower Income Countries (LICs) and Lower Middle Income Countries (LMICs) will not be able to accept vaccines that don’t have at least a 2 month shelf life. Taking that into account, 241 million vaccines will go to waste.
