Following the verdict, there was widespread celebration even as protesters honored the memory of Fyssas and other victims of Golden Dawn’s violence
The protesters vowed to continue the fight against fascism and demanded justice for Pavlos Fyssas and punishment for his killers.
Pavlos Fyssas was killed by a member of the fascist Golden Dawn party in 2013. This year, marches were held throughout the country against fascism and demanding justice for the musician
Kostas Peletidis, was re-elected as mayor of Patras, the third largest city in Greece. He was the candidate of the KKE-backed People’s Rally and won 70.22 % of the votes
