Health workers and those in associated sectors held a national day of action demanding pay hikes, more staff, improved and safe working conditions, job security, and sufficient funds and resources for hospitals

The call for the mobilization was given by major trade unions, including the General Confederation of Labor (CGT)and health workers collectives like L’Inter-Urgences and Collectif Inter-Hôpitaux also joined the protests.

This was the second round of nationwide protests organized by health workers in the country since the start of a two-month consultation process initiated by the government on its proposed health sector reforms
