In this interview with Vijay Prashad, the author of The Vagina Monologues says that there is an invisible genocide within the pandemic-hit United States, where systematic oppression is behind the increased fatalities of essential service providers, majority of which are women and people of color. Not only that, the pandemic has given an opportunity to leaders like Trump to attack workers and women’s rights.
