Human trafficking

The first quarter of this year has been the deadliest since 2017 for migrants trying to cross over to Europe through the Central Mediterranean

Authorities have found out that 55 potential victims of human trafficking were employed at a construction site in Antwerp at extremely low wages

The 11 refugees were aboard an overloaded dinghy. Another 12 peoples were rescued by the Libyan coast guard and will be sent back to refugee camps in the country

The chaos created by the NATO-led invasion of Libya in 2011 has made the country a breeding ground for human trafficking to Europe, leading to hundreds of deaths each year
