The ICJ is conducting hearings before giving an opinion on the legal consequences of Israel’s occupation of Palestine. The US and its allies have asked the court to not demand an end to the occupation

At the beginning of the week-long hearing Palestinians accused Israel of practicing apartheid and racial discrimination and demanded the end of the over five decade old occupation

Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad al-Maliki also said that he hoped Saudi Arabia will not fall under US pressure and normalize relations with Israel before the end of the occupation

Apart from imposing travel restrictions on Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad al-Maliki, Israel has confiscated USD 39 million from the body which will be transferred to the ‘victims of terrorism’ fund for Israeli citizens  

On Sunday, Palestinian foreign minister Riyad al-Maliki had his travel permit revoked by Israel after he met officials of the International Criminal Court. The chief prosecutor of the ICC had recently announced a probe into war crimes in Palestine
