In today’s episode of the Daily Round-up we look at the UN’s Global Report on the Food Crisis documenting a shocking rise in acute food insecurity in 2021; the displacement of over 100,000 people following massacres in Sudan’s Darfur region last week; Mexico’s interest in securing a mutual, cooperative alliance with Bolivia, Chile, and Argentina for the use and development of lithium; and the recovery of the bodies of 24 more migrants by the Tunisian coast guard after 4 boats carrying over 120 people capsized off it’s coast in April.
