One year ago, June 6, 2018 Julián Gil, the Technical Secretary of the People’s Congress, a social and political movement in Colombia, was arrested and subsequently put in prison. His arrest is part of a strategy of the Colombian state to silence all those who fight for peace, justice and a dignified life.
One year after his unjust arrest and imprisonment, Julián sent this audio clip from La Picota Prison where he is currently being held in pre-trial detention.
To be a social leader is not a crime!
